Transport / Travel

Scotland is very easy to reach (always harder to leave!) and we are pleased to offer some suggestions on Travelling to Scotland.

However, outside the main cities, the public transport system is at best sporadic and can be both time consuming and frustrating. We will be pleased to help with your arrangements to ensure that everything goes smoothly.

TRAVELLING TO SCOTLAND

Air: Scotland's principal airports at Edinburgh and Glasgow are served by daily direct scheduled flights from many European cities, Canada and the USA. The choice is even greater if you are prepared to change at London, Dublin, Paris, Amsterdam, Reykjavik, Frankfurt, etc.

Prestwick, Aberdeen and Inverness Airports are also served by direct flights from many European cities.

Sea: A regular vehicle and passenger ferry service operates between Rosyth and Zeebrugge.

Rail: Most of Scotland can be reached by train from main line stations throughout the UK.

TRANSPORT IN SCOTLAND

We will be pleased to arrange all your airport/station transfers and we can provide all your transport in Scotland - coach, 4x4, limousine and even helicopter.

Nearly all major car-hire firms are represented in Scotland - but remember we drive on the left! Four-by-four vehicle hire is available from specialist agencies and chauffeur-drive can also be arranged.

On many estates, off-road transport to and from the moors or hills is provided in four-by-fours and pick-ups while Argos, Quads and other all-terrain vehicles have largely replaced the traditional Highland Ponies.

Trips to some West Highland and Island estates occasionally justify the use of helicopters or light aircraft and the expense is usually rewarded by some of the most remarkable views in Europe.
